We are always talking about recycling…
Then we go and buy these to recycle:
Does that make sense?
Is that being green?
Have you got some old wood around, a pallet, maybe?
Make something.
It doesn’t have to be fancy. It doesn’t even have to be in the kitchen.
It can be down the bottom of the garden, in or behind the shed.

We have no say in the matter as the local council provides the plastic bins for recycling (and plastic bags)

>Alex, not referring to those who have plastic thrust upon them as in the case you mention. Rather, I am referring to households who go out and buy plastic.

That would work great for indoors but not for setting out at the curb. Homeowners are required to have the blue plastic bin if they want their recycling picked up.

>Lois, are the bins provided, or do you have to buy?
As for setting out at the kerb, most bins use some form of liner, so that wouldn’t be a problem.

We use chickens. All our food scraps go out…eggs come in 🙂 Everything plastic, metal, paper and glass gets recycled. Doesn’t leave much!

Chickens are BRILLIANT! 🙂 I love my chooks. Even without the eggs, the way they recycle all our food waste is awesome.
